‘A LA SALA’ translates as “to the living room”, welcoming us to view Khruangbin through an intimate and domestic snapshot. This fourth album is particularly intriguing by being a patchwork quilt of sorts, weaving together a collection of unreleased music. It is beautifully stripped back, remaining light on the synth and vocals to ensure that the foundations that make their sound so distinct - sultry guitar melodies, groovy baselines and laidback drum loops - are the focal point. It’s just one of those soundscapes that you can just get absolutely lost in - definitely my go-to chill album from now on. LT
