Rubber Oh - Soil

Sam Grant (Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs, Pigs) has collaborated with a whole bunch of amazing artists including Rozi Plain, Voka Gentle and Newcastle’s own Me Lost Me and Ceitidh Mac for his second album under the Rubber Oh moniker. And – what do you know – it’s psyched-out triumph. It’s a release thrumming with imaginative arrangements and heart-stirring melodies, from the dynamic soaring pop of ‘Bloodlust’ to the rumbling cinematics of ‘The Well’ to the drivingly fuzzed up ‘Poor Anna’ – it just doesn’t stop. Add in exuberant choir and string sections and you’ve an album that is big, big, big, big, big, big, big. RM

Released 20 September on Mr Medicine Records.
