Midlands based singer/songwriter Kezia Gill is pretty hard to pigeonhole, but her rise has been nothing short of meteoric and she’ll be raising the roof when she plays The Glasshouse in Gateshead this November.

Judging by this pic, it looks like Kezia Gill is about to intone, “Are you sitting comfortably?” I guess the picture was taken to compliment her latest tour – which is going by the name ‘The Story So Far’ – but the last thing anyone will want to do with Gill is sit comfortably. Her stuff is very much an ‘on yer feet!’ affair as she barrels through her back-catalogue that feature smart, country songs that she fills with a room-filling rock energy. Add in her bluesy voice and you’ve got a lass that won’t fit neatly into any category. She’s shared stages with everyone from Marty Stuart to Bruce Springsteen, and her 2023 album ‘Misfit’ found favour with country and pop/rock fans alike. It’s a release that really showcases her versatility and she handles all those different genres with plenty of cut and dash. Chuck in her magnetic stage presence and you’ve got the complete package.
