Spanner in the works
When Matt was little, their dad bought a classic car: a 1954 Sunbeam Talbot Mark II. Dad had the idea that he and Matt would do it up together. They never did, however, and the car festered in the garage. Now in their 30s, Matt would like to learn how to fix a car engine. They’d also like to learn a bit more about dad, and that time – when dad and mum split up. Matt can’t do this alone, so he ropes in his alter-ego Natalie Spanner to help… Matt Miller’s latest show asks questions about how, in a broken world, we might repair ourselves, together.
