Nina Nesbitt - Mountain Music

Nina Nesbitt’s fourth album is her best yet, and one of my favourites of the year. It’s a beautiful folk-pop record, with gentle acoustic guitar and piano melodies and light, airy vocals that evoke the ethereal mountain scene on its cover. Inspired by her journey from the small, Scottish town she grew up in, to the big city life she struggled to navigate, to the place of reflection she now stands, the lyrics tell introspective stories of self-growth that make you feel as if you’re reading the pages of her personal journal. Nesbitt’s vulnerability provides a colour to her music that allows ‘Mountain Music’ to stand out among her discography. LT
