It’s beginning to look a lot like…
I love the paintings of Imogen Hawgood (that’s her ‘Las Vegas Pioneer Club’ pictured). She seeks to explore the seductive nature of bright lights, nights out (neon-lit cinema exteriors are a favourite of hers) and gaudy festival fast food outlets. But she’s just one of a diverse selection of artists showing – and selling – work at the Gallagher & Turner gallery this December. And it’s not just paintings either as also on show are a delectable selection of prints, jewellery, sculpture and ceramics. Other artists exhibiting include Norman Ackroyd, Jill Campbell, Melvyn Evans, Peter Furlonger, Nicola Gladwin, Imogen Hawgood, Crispian Heath, Albert Irvin, Stephen Jeffrey, Laurel Keeley, Frances Law, Peter Quinn, Ray Richardson, Sarah Ross-Thompson, Lucy May Schofield and Neil Wood. There will also be a selection of Japanese woodblock prints and work from Silverkupe jewellery. GM
