The End (Credits) is nigh

Fab Teesside three-piece End Credits are playing their biggest show to date at KU Bar in Stockton this December.

End Credits first hovered onto my radar back in 2022 when they banged out their debut album ‘The Traveller’. As calling cards go it’s a supremely confident release, particularly if you like your indie-rock to be served nicely frazzled around the edges, with forays into Doors-esque blues and psych. Since then the trio – say “Hi!” to frontman Cameron Young, bassist Blaise Pickering and drummer/producer Eddy Mason Pooley – have released a clutch of thrilling singles such as this year’s ‘I Need Time’, a track built around the kind of warped groove that speaks of a band willing to push envelopes. They’re following ‘I Need Time’ with ‘Twisted Form of Romance’, which is out on 13 December. This track features a heavier sound, but it’s still built around some exhilarating riffs and lyrics that explore abusive relationships. The band are launching the single with a gig at Ku Bar, and it should be quite the night as supporting will be Provenance, Sugar Roulette and Dossers. DP

End Credits + support, Friday 13 December, KU Bar, Stockton, 7pm, £10, kustockton.co.uk
