‘CHROMAKOPIA’ is an eclectic deep-dive into Tyler, The Creator’s psyche, exploring everything from aging, to his relationship with his mother, to white supremacy, to sex via his signature, razor-sharp lyrics and commanding flow. The range of genres and sounds on display is equally sprawling - there’s hints of rock, folk, R&B, funk - and yet it feels like an incredibly well thought out, cohesive project, with each track seamlessly blending into the next thanks to some next level production. The kaleidoscope of musical colours and emotion on display here really makes CHROMAKOPIA feel like a step inside the creative mind of Tyler, The Creator, and it’s a very exciting place to be. LT
