Rosé - rosie

Considering the enormous success of Blackpink, the K-pop girl group where Rosé found fame, releasing a debut album is bound to be more than a little daunting. However, Rosé lands this leap of faith with grace. Her playful, pop-princess energy shines in upbeat tracks like ‘APT’ (featuring Bruno Mars) and ‘drinks or coffee’ to show that she’s more than capable of creating hits without her band mates, but it’s the heartfelt ballads that really stand out for me. The vulnerability of the emotional lyrics and raw vocals is in stark contrast to the polished exterior of her K-pop persona, lifting the lid on the woman behind the pop star. LT
