I caught this half Scottish/half French singer-songwriter on Cerys Matthews’ BBC6 Music show earlier this year. He was amazing and so I had to dig out his latest album. And what do you know? Also amazing! Especially if you love your indie-folk to be imbued with bags of atmosphere and striking imagery a la Leonard Cohen. The tone is unhurried, the melodies easy on the ear, and the effect is pure balm for your tattered soul. DP
