This is the third album from the British-born, Berlin-based musician Annika Henderson, and it feels like an abrasive, real kick-back against the world (“With everything that’s going on right now, I need this rebellion”). Sonically, it’s wired, post-punk, often heavy, and draws deep from 90s alt-rock (think grunge etc). Touchstones include the likes of Lou Reed, Fiona Apple, Nico etc – which is never a bad thing in my book. DP
