One Key Magic are Dr. Michael Mulvihill – the first artist in residence at RAF Fylingdales (where those three giant domes are) – and musician and producer Chris Tate. Together they are looking to: “interpret and materialise the scintillations and aurora of electro-magnetic engagements [at RAF Flyingdales], while folding together the geographic, cultural and historic trajectories of music productions, space exploration and nuclear deterrence”. The result is a deep dive of an album that bends droning textures into many a pleasing and beguiling shape. GM
