Love is Larry Love of South London outlaws Alabama 3, and O’Connell is Brendan O’Connell, his songwriting partner. Their first release under the O’Connell & Love banner was 2015’s ‘Minesweeping’ (released to much acclaim) and this album is similarly packed with rootsy Americana, gothic campfire blues, and rhythmic swing. It’s a full-bodied release and packed with guest vocalists including June Miles-Kingston, Stephanie Clift and Sheena Ross. GM
