Boris are the female fronted rock outift from Japan who are the very definition of a cult band. These dark-riff boffins have collaborated with everyone from Sunn O))) to Merzbow and have been around, in one form or another, since 1992. This is their first release for Sacred Bones and it runs the gamut from avant-noise to sensual and sludgy (think Can at their most envelope pushing). Bracing and surprisingly seductive. DP
