Paulo Nutini - Last Night In The Bittersweet
We’ve been waiting for
this album for 8 years,
and it’s fair to say that it
was worth the wait. This
16 track, 72 minute record
sprawls across a range of
genres and sounds, telling
us that Nutini has shaken
off the shackles of his
commercial success and
is making the music he
wants to. His trademark
voice is as strong and
delightful as ever, and it’s
a treat to hear it mould
into the shapes of genres
we don’t necessarily
associate with this artist,
like indie and post punk.
There’s so much ground
covered here and so
many stand out moments
that it’s impossible to pick
a favourite. LT
