MUNA - MUNA
This new album from MUNA is filled with a free, feel good sound. It’s so refreshing to not only see a queer, female/ non-binary band putting themselves on the map (they have quite the fan base), but also writing songs that actively encourage other queer people to feel more comfortable with their identity. ‘What I Want’, for example, is all about the desire to fall in love and dance in the middle of a gay bar, and how “there’s nothing wrong” with that. There’s something very nostalgic about MUNA’s music, as they have that 90’s pop stomper vibe, yet they still manage to sound fresh and exciting. LT
