This feisty Ashington bunch knock out pell-mell punky rock that is entirely bereft of fat but thrumming with melodic know-how. Their new album grabs you by the lapels from the get-go, and nary lets up. But what really sets them apart are their fizzy riffs that fire off hither and thither, and you can’t help but feel swept along by the fire in their hearts. They cite The Wildhearts as an influence and fans of Ginger’s infectious brand of rock will find plenty to love here. GM
