JW Francis is a New Yorker who makes gloriously lo-fi, slacker dream-pop and his latest album is chockfull of love songs that he’s written on behalf of fans who have sent him specific requests. It’s infused with a jangly goodness – balm for your soul – and, given the subject matter, it’s bursting with loved-up vibes to go. The whole enterprise might sound cloying but it works really well and I went a bomb for this. DP
