There’s few feelings like when you come across a new artist that really stops you in your tracks, and that’s exactly what I experienced when I discovered Nicole Dollanganger’s music. Though ‘Married in Mount Airy’ is her 7th album, it was the first time I’d heard her unique sound, and I was immediately captivated by the contrast between her sweet vocals with the distorted instrumentation. What really struck me was her lyrical talent though; it is beautifully poetic, telling somber stories that combine with her sound to create something really haunting. Might just add her entire discography to my playlist. LT
