These sisters – Clementine and Valentine Nixon – have the perfect names for a duo that feel as though they have swirled up from some misty clearing in order to bring us music that sounds timeless. Raised in both New Zealand and Hong Kong, they originally made futuristic dream pop under the name of Purple Pilgrims, but their latest stuff is on a loftier plane with gorgeous melodies being stretched hither and thither, and tinged with folk, strings, sunlight and shade. Fans of Weyes Blood will go a bundle for this. RM
