The talented trio of Grace Smith (fiddle/viola), Sam Partridge (concertina, electric guitar) and Bevan Morris (double bass) met on the Newcastle University Folk Degree course and have spent the last ten years playing with a number of prestigious folk bands. Together they conjure up breezy jigs and reels that feel infused with sunlight and air. The trio explore traditional dance tunes, and add compositions of their own, in a way that is uplifting, occasionally reflective, and played with the kind of dash that just sweeps you along.
