Night Lovell’s latest album delivers cutthroat lyrics and dark trap beats, which work particularly well when paired with his unique, deep voice. At just 29 minutes, despite having 12 tracks, ‘I HOPE YOU’RE HAPPY’ feels like a bit of a whistle-stop tour of what Night Lovell has to offer. While it’s impressive that he’s managed to pack so many diverse tracks into such a short runtime, I can’t help but feel that many of the tracks could do with a little more development. However, what Night Lovell does offer in this release is an impressive flow and solid production. LT
