LA singer-songwriter Laena Myers is best known as being the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter with Feels, but for this, her debut solo album, she’s pulled together a whole bunch of songs that she reckons were two personal and dreamy for Feels. And it’s a real woozy, lo-fi affair featuring Patti Smith style spectral ballads and post-punky, new-wavey stylings in the manner of Cate LeBon and Angel Olsen. It’s an album to live with for a while, as it slowly unfurls its gifts to you – of which there are many.
