Cavetown - little vice
This new release from Cavetown - the musical project of Robin Skinner - is a hazy blend of bedroom pop, indie and electronica, with a lo-fi feel to it. Each song is densely packed with layers of sound and instrumentation, but also with emotion, thanks to lyrics that dive deep into inner turmoil and human connection. In the case of ‘the back of the moon’, the love between a mother and child that transcends the boundaries of species is also explored, due to the song being inspired by ‘Way to the Woods’ - a video game about a mother and baby deer in a post-apocalyptic cityscape. A really beautiful listen. LT
