Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism

Dua Lipa’s last release - 2020’s Future Nostalgia - is hands down one of my favourite pop albums of all time, and then as if I wasn’t excited enough, she revealed that this third album was “a psychedelic pop-infused tribute to UK rave culture” as well as being influenced by 90s Britpop. Erm, Dua, did you release the wrong album??? Granted, Radical Optimism does have a handful of bangers, but these so-called tributes and influences are nowhere to be found. It is for the most part uneventful and run-of-the-mill pop music - most of the tracks that haven’t been released as singles unfortunately blend into the background. I feel a little let down… LT
