The sixth album from Charli xcx is everything that its title suggests - loud, abrasive, unfiltered - but in the best way. The lyrics are super fun; pretty much every song makes you want to hit the dance floor; and it still manages to uphold a unique sound among a very saturated market of ‘hot girl anthems’. Bubbly dance melodies, bouncy synths and thundering bass lines provide a flashback to a sweaty, strobe-lit club somewhere in the 2000s, yet by climbing to the top of the huge pile of anticipated pop releases this year, Charli xcx crowns herself Queen of the current moment.
