Scene Queen is New York’s Hannah Rose Collins and she coined the term “Bimbocore” – a kind of feminist metalcore. Her debut album is a glittery take on emo – think: maximalist pop with a bratty heart. Not that she has much time for genre purists, or misogynists for that matter as she hits us up with feminist anthems that also see her exploring her sexuality. Track titles include ‘Pink Push-Up Bra’, ‘Mutual Masturbation’ and ‘Finger’, all of which dial those fiery riffs up to the max. Your vicar won’t like it (unless she’s a trendy vicar who knows what a MILF is). RM
