This third album from Sea Girls is British indie music at its best. The band are known for the energetic, anthemic quality of their songs and Midnight Butterflies supplies another fresh batch of catchy tunes you can imagine yourself belting out at one of their lively shows. However, some of my favourite tracks on this album are when the tempo is taken down a few notches and the band leans into a more emotional take on their songwriting. It’s a great showcase of their versatility and worth a listen whether you’re looking for summer hits or your latest cry-in-the-car song. LT
