The debut album from this Darlington-based artist is quite something. The vibe slinks between expansive hip-hop and loungecore trip-hop – with R&B flavours – and the sheer inventiveness and songwriting ability on show is truly impressive. A whole roster of vocalists are also on hand to do their stuff including KingOsiris, Nekro G, Sofi and Darlington’s own Cherie D’Avino, all of whom deliver knockout performances. Stellar stuff then, and fans of everyone from Naz to Zero 7 to J Dilla will find plenty to cherish here. RM
