However, like many female rap artists, this is often all her talent is reduced to by critics. This latest release refuses to be simplified, instead putting pretty much every box that Megan can fit into on display. Whether you’re looking for diss tracks, melodic hype anthems or old-skool hip hop beats featuring Japanese lyrics (a homage to Megan’s love for anime), it’s all here. While this multidisciplinary approach sacrifices cohension (and its efforts to please everyone can be a little fan-servicey) it’s a release that is a fantastic display of everything Megan can do. LT
