Combining a modern, unique take on R&B music with lyrics that turn the harsh truth of moving to London from Trinidad into visceral poetry, WHO AM I answers the question BERWYN poses in its title through 12 deeply personal musical stories. Despite its rawness, WHO AM I is still filled with moments of black joy that allow this album to simultaneously celebrate BERWYN’s identity in a beautiful way. LT
