Clairo’s third album, Charm, is a soulful exploration of desire and nostalgia, wrapped in smooth vocals and groovy beats, with jazzy undertones and a clear R&B influence.  The instrumentation on Charm is beautiful with a flute, clarinet and saxophone featuring in a number of tracks, adding to this jazz feel. Exploring themes of desire, nostalgia, and human connection, the album feels like a personal journey that resonates on a universal level.

The standout single “Sexy to Someone” captures the album’s essence, exploring the longing to be desired. Although the songs on the tracklist share a similar sound, it creates a cohesive feel and allows the album to flow seamlessly. It’s a well-rounded album that highlights her versatility and ability to craft music that resonates on multiple levels. With its smooth vocals, groovy beats, and introspective lyricism, Clairo has delivered an album that feels intimate yet relatable, making Charm a standout in her discography.
